Tuition Rates & Policy

1. Rates: Lesson fees cover four half-hour lessons per month on a scheduled basis and are charged monthly to a card that you provide. A five-week month (approx every 3rd month) add $22/25 respectively. Hour lessons are double. Vacations/ Holidays will be made up or not charged. Tuition pays for the time - not a lesson. If the student does not show up for a lesson, you are still required to cover the teacher’s time. Un-paid lesson times are open and can be lost! Tuition rates have two tiers: regular and premium - depending on the type of lesson and/or the teacher's particular degrees, certifications and experience.

2. Cancellations. Teachers are only required to make up one excused lesson per month. An excused lesson is one that is called in with no less than 24 hours notice. Call anytime, day or night: we have voice mail with a time/date stamp. You can send us an email at TGSmusic@gmail.com. Teachers are required to make up lessons that they cancel. If your teacher is not there for your lesson and you were not notified in advance, a qualified substitute instructor may teach it or you will get a free lesson credit.

3. Make-ups. It is the students/parents responsibility to call American Rock School and find a time with the front desk to book a make up lesson. It should be done at the time of cancellation. A make up MUST be scheduled and taken within 21 days of the cancelled appointment or it is lost. We do not re-schedule an already re-scheduled lesson. When a student can't make their regular scheduled time and book a make-up, they are in effect taking TWO lesson times in a teacher's schedule but only paying for one.

4. Stopping Lessons. When students decide to stop taking lessons, come in the studio and fill out a “Stop Lessons” form by the 25th of the month. That will stop the next tuition charge. There will be no refunds or partial refunds if you choose to stop on or after the 26th of any calendar month.

5. Holding your spot during a break. Keeping the perfect time with a teacher you like is the best way to go. If you are going to be missing two or more weeks in a row and doing make-ups are not possible, you can HOLD your spot at 1/2 the regular rate. We have to keep our teachers busy, that's is how they make a living, if we can't book a student into one of their open times because someone wants to hold it, we need to compensate them. If you choose not to hold your spot, we will hold your paid credits until you are ready to start back, however the same spot and/or same instructor may not be available.

*To opt out of paragraph one (credit card on file portion): a student may pay the amount of one lesson to hold on account as a deposit to cover an unexcused missed appointment. If tuition is not paid on or before the last lesson in the month, the deposit will be used to hold the following week's appointment, however to continue, full tuition and another deposit must be paid at the time of that appointment, otherwise we will assume that the student is quitting. When stopping lessons, give 14 days notice and the deposit will cover the final lesson.

We reserve the right to amend our policy at any time. Thank you and continued success in your music!
